This week, our portion of Scripture is entitled “Chukat” which can be quite accurately defined as “Decree.” Â However, the importance of this title is not found in its definition, but rather, the implications the term “Chukat” suggests.
The meaning/reason behind a chukat (decree) can neither be fully explained nor understood. Â A chukat is a statute that only God can lay down because only God is wise enough to understand the various aspects that make that chukat effective within the natural and spiritual realms. Â For instance, “Do not commit murder” is not an example of a chukat. Â Anyone, regardless of religious or ethical background can understand the nature of this rule. Â Nobody is born assuming murder is ok, nor would they ever think it a desirable outcome in life to be murdered. Â In other words, the logical nature of the law against murder is easily understood.
A chukat is something that is exclusively the product of immense Divine wisdom. Â A chukat, though it can be defined as a decree, which makes up a certain definition in our western minds, is, by its very nature, designed to be understood only by The Holy One, Blessed Be He. Â This type of commandment is given to the people of God specifically to draw out their faithfulness and integrity before Him. Â It is The Father’s way of saying, “I have everything in control. Â You can’t understand everything, but I know what I’m doing,” and our obedience to a chukat/decree is our intimate answer back to Him, saying, “Even though I don’t fully grasp this, I understand and take joy in the fact that ALL things come from you, and are done for the ultimate good.” Â May we be increased in our love and faith in God not in spite of the ambiguous aspects of life, but BECAUSE of them.

Matt this is all you have, man tell people to understand in a way to put in life situation, Meaning how it applies to you when you step out of the door u know, or at work how you put situation or circumstances like your video on facebook about your engagement. I say this you can really effect our generation by putting it in a way that we understand. WE do not UNDERSTAND THESE BIG WORDS AND I HAVE MORE KNOWLEDGE THAN YOU PERPECTIVE BUT TO REACH AND to HUG SOMEONE THAT IS REALLY LOST. In humility and with out pride
