Disciple Path

It’s not what we do. It’s who we are!

Discover a whole new level of faith through authentic discipleship

At Calvary Christian Fellowship, we believe that discipleship is not just a purpose of the church, but it is the purpose of the church. Thus, we purposefully and intentionally provide a path for every believer to be a disciple.

To be a Disciple… Why Discipleship?

Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)- And Jesus came and said to them, ”All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples ofall nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all thatI have commanded you.”

Our Lord’s command requires all believers to observe all that He has commanded. Through this command, we learn the process of discipleship.

A Disciple is one who…

  • enters into a relationship with the Father through the Son
  • is rooted on the foundation of the word of God
  • matures due to spiritual discipline
  • develops Christ-like character, making disciples of others.

Relationship

Our hope and goal for every believer is continual growth in deepening discipleship. Thus, we provide three types of relationships as a guide to the disciple’s path. In the large group, the relationship focus is on how you relate to God. In the Adult Bible Fellowship, the focus is on fellowship around the study of His word. Small groups provide opportunities to walk together in applying God’s word. These relationships are purposely designed to be integrated, not independent options.

Maturity

In grace and love, the Master meets His followers where they are. However, a genuine encounter with the Holy One provokes constant maturity unto godliness. Therefore, we strive to help each individual discover where they are and provide an opportunity to progressively grow in His likeness.

Promise

“For all the promises of God find their yes in (Christ).” (1 Cor 1:20 ESV)

Many of us know that the promises and allures of this world are bankrupt. Yet, we sense that somehow there must be something more. We hope for and desire the blessings and promises of God but don’t know how to obtain them.

His blessings are not magic. As a believer walks in obedience to God’s word, the believer experiences God’s favor. Through Disciple Path, we help the follower of Christ embark on a walk of obedience to Him – a walk full of the promise of God.
